Description

Amey are due to undertake the renewal of the 11kV switchgear at Acton Lane. As an enabler to these works there is some redundant K11 switchgear inside Acton Lane substation. The switchgear is spread across 3 rooms within the substation with some interconnecting parts which run through the internal walls. Prior to any works taking place a separate contractor will remove the existing redundant switchgear and disconnect services on the wall.
It is likely that the successful bidder will be instructed in 3 parts: Part 1 - To undertake a temporary works design and partially demolish and re-build the wall between rooms 2 and 3, Part 2 - To undertake the core drilling and associated works for cables entering the building and Part 3 - To level the ground including filling asbestos ducks with concrete and install the columns for the cable trays.

These works will be consecutive however separated by a few weeks/months, according to the programme.
