Description

Leicestershire County Council (the Council) is seeking to identify and appoint up to two Contractors to provide a Hedge and Grip cutting service.
The service is split into two Lots as follows:
- Lot 1 consisting of the Harborough district and parts of Blaby and Hinckley & Bosworth districts.
- Lot 2 consisting of North West Leicestershire and Charnwood districts; parts of Hinckley & Bosworth district and provisionally Melton Borough district
The Council may elect to self-deliver the Melton district of the County.
The Contract will be awarded for the 2017/ 2018 hedge and grip cutting season only with a service period between 1st October 2017 and 31st March 2018
Tenderers can submit tenders for one or both Lots. There is no limit on the number of Lots a tenderer can be awarded.
The Employer intends to appoint one Contractor for each Lot.
The anticipated contract value is estimated at £70,000 for each Lot.
The service consists of the following elements:
- 1x Planned Rural Hedge Cut
- 1x Planned Rural Grip Cut
- The supply of; Tractor, Tractor Driver, Flail and Fuel for Engineer Instructed Day Works as required
- Temporary Traffic Management
All plant engaged on the service shall be fitted with working GPS tracker devices capable of displaying real time information of the plant whereabouts. The Contractor shall arrange for an internet link so that the Employer can have access to the plant real time whereabouts.
