Description

NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board (N&WICB) are reviewing future options for the provision of Adult Community Eating Disorders Services. The ICB is inviting expression of interests from suitably qualified and experienced providers to inform their thinking about the Level of market interest and what potential capacity providers can offer across Norfolk and Waveney. The Service is looking to establish a single provider across Norfolk and Waveney, who can deliver specialist community adult eating disorder services across the ICS. The service will support eating disorders as per the ICD-10 (International Classification of Diseases - 10th Revision) and DSM-5 (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders - 5th Edition), through the provision of evidence-based interventions as part of a 'core' service offer.

The service will be informed by the NHS Adult Eating Disorders: Community, Inpatient and Intensive Day Patient Care - Guidance for commissioners and providers and its appendices and for delivery of interventions as set out in the NICE Eating Disorders Quality Standard and NICE - Eating Disorders: recognition and treatment.
Additionally, the service will include the provision of:
FREED (First Episode Rapid Early Intervention for Eating Disorders),
ICST (Intensive Community Support Team)
Carers' Support Services
Support to Primary Care who undertake medical monitoring

Similarly, the service will have the ability and perspective to mobilise further services as part of the Norfolk and Waveney All-Age eating Disorders Strategy, such as ARFID (Avoidant / Restrictive Food Intake Disorder) provision in conjunction with the Integrated Care System (ICS).

Providers willing to Express an Interest will be required to respond to a series of questions which are scored on a "Pass/Fail" basis. The scoring criteria for each question is stipulated within the question. Only providers who score a "Pass" on all "Pass/Fail" questions will be deemed compliant & capable. Depending on the outcome of the Expressions of Interest, the Commissioner reserves the right to direct award to provider(s) with no further competition where there is a single provider expressing an interest and scores a "Pass" on all "Pass/Fail" questions.. Depending on the number of providers who Express an Interest and score a "Pass" on all "Pass/Fail" questions, then the Commissioner may seek to undertake a Provider selection process.
