Description

The Borough Council of Calderdale is seeking expressions of interest for a suitable provider for the Advocacy Service. The Advocacy Service is for adults and young people aged 16-18 years. The service provided must ensure the Council meets its statutory requirements in relation to the provision of advocates including Care Act Advocates, Independent Mental Capacity Advocates, Independent Mental Health Advocates and paid Relevant Person's Representatives. The service will ensure the smooth transition in arrangements to Liberty Protection Safeguards as required. The service will also deliver non-statutory mental health advocacy to inpatients within the Calderdale inpatient psychiatric settings and promote awareness and understanding of advocacy. The service is to be delivered throughout the Borough of Calderdale with some operations being outside the Borough as applicable.
