Description

Public Health England (PHE) has commissioned interim support from the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NuTHFT) for Public Health Microbiology in the North East. The contract runs from the time of transfer of PHE Newcastle's diagnostic molecular and mycobacterial services to NuTHFT (1st November 2017) until 30th April 2018. The provision includes: Enteric testing, Respiratory testing, Exanthema and other skin and soft tissue infections, Sexual Health, Environmental, Professional and Scientific Support, as well as possible Emergency Response.
