Description
The council requires a single supplier to provide structural and civil engineering maintenance and repair works to tenanted low rise properties which are being managed by NPS Norwich Ltd - property services team.
Maintenance and repair works are required to a range of structural defects. The scope of works comprises of the three storey building.
The following works will be undertaken:
o carry out all necessary preparation to brickwork and remove defective paint coatings
o cut out the outer leaf of brickwork for the full height of the building to expose 5 no. steelwork stanchions
o remove all signs of corrosion from stanchions, fully prepare and apply red oxide primer/rust inhibitor to exposed steel flanges
o stitch in new brickwork to close off stanchions
o undertake concrete repairs to exposed beams, lintels
o undertake brick repairs to elevations and parapets, provide lead sheathing to parapet to north east gable end
o undertake partial (25% approx.) re-roof of clay pantile roof, re-instate close boarding, breather felt, battens and counter battens
o replace timber fascia boards with UPVC fascia boards
o replace black pvc half round gutters with aluminium box gutters and rainwater pipes
o undertake complete external redecoration of external brickwork
o undertake complete external redecoration of timber/steel windows
