Description
The authority required a supplier that will provide an evaluation of the regional pilots for the learning disability and autism inpatient mental health advocacy review. These pilots are currently being rolled out across 34 different sites across England on statutory and non-statutory advocacy inpatient services to see if increased advocacy or specialist advocacy makes a difference to individuals lives/quality of care. The evaluation will evaluate all the pilots together and embed/use the evidence of what works; however we recognise a comprehensive evaluation is not possible in the current timeframe therefore a clear and robust approach to supporting the pilots/embedding the learning will be sought. We would also require the supplier to undertake an analysis of the pilot's baseline data/surveys, a mid-point review during the evaluation process and the end review. The supplier would support illustrative case studies for these pilots.
Ongoing evaluation would focus on what actually happened in the pilots, any adjustments to their delivery model, feedback from families and people experiencing advocacy, and analysis of monitoring data shared (numbers and profile of who supported, in relation to what and any outcome/change as a result).
By the end we would expect the supplier to pull together all the analyses from surveys, monitoring data and change stories returned from sites, combined with key themes drawn from the illustrative case studies, in order to triangulate/synthesise and produce a focused report for NHSE.
