Description

Installation of a CCTV system to monitor unauthorised activity on the rail track consisting of approx. 2km, excluding the
areas within the tunnel.
Specification: The following specification is for a CCTV System intended to comply with National Security Inspectorate Code of
practice NCP 104: Issue 3 (Design, Installation and Maintenance of CCTV Systems) including the requirements of BSEN 50132-7: 1996, with particular reference to clause 7.11 of NCP 104(3).
The primary purpose of the CCTV system is for public and employee safety, the prevention and detection of crime and the apprehension of offenders. Where appropriate, locations will be described as being front or rear and left or right as seen by an observer standing
outside and facing the front of the premises.
Purpose: To detect unauthorised entry by monitoring movement of individuals entering and leaving the trackside throughout its
length excluding the tunnel. We have assessed that 12 (7M) Towers supporting a total of 23 Cameras will be required to cover this activity.
