Description

This Framework is for the Provision of a single contractor for the Service, Survey, Supply, Install, Remove, Recondition and Store of Lifts in the Community.

Project Background

Adaptations are currently delivered through an Internal Home Improvement Agencies (HIA). HIA's are not for profit organisations which assist vulnerable homeowners or tenants, who are older, disabled or on low incomes to repair or adapt their homes.

The budget is administered by the Council's Regeneration & Local Services department. Adaptations are available to owner-occupiers, landlords and tenants and are delivered to
people who have been assessed by an Occupational Therapist (OT) as having an essential need to enable them to live more independently.

The scope of lifts currently delivered encompasses Straight & Curved Track Stair Lifts,
Platform Lifts and Through Floor Vertical Lifts of which a combined total of approximately 175
are delivered on an annual basis across the County.
