Description

The quantum technology transfer centre at the University of Birmingham, as part of the quantum hub for metrology and sensors, is inviting tenders for a hydrogen maser (e.g. active version), with the following specifications:

o At least one 10MHz output
o At least one pulse per second (PPS) output
o All outputs to be 50 Ohm impedance
o Integrated battery power supply able to power the unit for greater than 12 hours in the event of mains power failure
o Stability of <1E-13 at 1 seconds averaging time
o Stability of <2E-15 at 10,000 seconds averaging time
o Phase noise -120dBc/Hz or better at 1Hz offset, -150dBc/Hz or better at 1kHz offset
o Magnetic sensitivity <2E-14 per gauss
o Temperature sensitivity of <1E-15 per degree Celsius
o Operational lifetime of 20 years or greater
o Remote monitoring via platform agnostic computer interface.
o Warranty period of >3years

Overall budget for this item is up to ?255,000.00 including VAT.
