Description

The North Kesteven District Council (the Council) wants to establish a Site Investigation Services Contract(s) for the provision of professional and technical Services within the district boundary of North Kesteven. The requirement is for the Contractor to provide variety of ad-hoc Services on sites owned by the Council and by the third parties to obtain a comprehensive understanding of a sites' viability for development, for example in terms of contamination and geology. The Services required under the Contract shall be split into four Lots. Each Lot shall be awarded as a separate Contract. A different Contractor may be awarded each Lot or a single Contractor may be awarded all/multiple Lots: Lot 1 Environmental and Geotechnical Services Lot 2 Ecological and Arboricultural Services Lot 3 Transport Services Lot 4 Planning and Heritage Services If required, the Contractor may subcontract part(s) of the Services under the particular Lot(s). The surveys, testing, studies and reports required will be individual to each particular site and shall be selected by the Council. Although the majority of these Services shall focus on new construction sites, the Services may be required at other existing Council's properties/sites. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing the Services, liaising closely with the Council's Building Surveyor(s) (the Council's Representative). The Contractor shall conduct surveys, tests, relevant investigations and shall provide the Survey Reports and advise the Council's Representative on its findings. The report or appropriate parts, to be decided by the Council, will be made available to third parties i.e. Building Contractors to support the Council's tendering process and subsequent construction works. The Contract(s) shall be let for an initial period of two (2) years intended to commence on 6th January 2020 with the option to extend for two (2) further period(s) of one (1) year(s) up to a maximum contract period of four (4) years.
