Description

Oakwood Primary School is based in Lordswood, Southampton. The school is made up of two
buildings; Juniors and Infants, with approximately 411 pupils aged between 4 and 1 years.

The works will comprise of:
· Strip out of existing redundant galvanised steel hot water flow and return pipework,
within the ceiling spaces and boiler room.
· Strip out of existing redundant galvanised steel cold water service pipework, within the
ceiling spaces and boiler room.
· Supply and installation of two new indirect hot water calorifiers.
· Supply and installation of new hot water flow and return pipework and valves, service
valves and balancing valves within the plant room and throughout the school.
· Supply and installation of new pipework insulation.
· Supply and installation of new primary LTHW pumps.
· Upgrading controls for pumps and three way valves, thermostats etc, for calorifiers.
· Supply and installation of new HWS return and destratification pumps.
· Supply and installation on new expansion vessel(s) for HWS system.
· Supply and installation of new cold water service within the Plant Room and throughout
the school.
· Builders work and making good, including dismantling the existing false ceiling and
replacing with the same upon completion of the works.
· Chlorination of the system.
· Commission and test the system.
· Provision of log book and Operation and Maintenance manual, and record drawings.
