NOTIFICATION OF SUBCONTRACT PACKAGE
A47 Wansford to Sutton
Galliford Try, as one of the East Region Delivery Integration Partners, are delivering the A47 Wansford project in the county of Cambridgeshire on behalf of National Highways. This project involves the dualling of the existing A47 between the A1/A47 junction Wansford to the Nene Way Roundabout at Sutton, which is part of major improvements to the existing A47.
The project has recently submitted a Development Consent Order to the Planning Inspectorate and the project is forecast to commence on site in March 2023 and will take around 1-2 years to complete.

Outline Scope of Works
The Earthworks Package consists of two parts:
Stage 1: Early Contractor Involvement. To provide technical and commercial input into the detailed design phase and to formulate the budget and programme for the works.
Stage 2: Construction. To provide all necessary supervision, labour, plant and materials required to undertake the earthworks comprising the excavation, processing, placement and compaction of site won soils and the Import of suitable fill material to form the development platform to support the new road, structures and landscaping. The contractor will also be responsible for the disposal to stockpile or off site of any unacceptable or surplus soils and other materials generated during the bulk earthworks.
