Description
Installation and maintenance of indoor energy usage sensors for approx. 50 dwellings, in the NZN area, and the ongoing data monitoring and visualisation throughout the project.
The aim is to accurately record, analyse and present this data over an initial 12-month period. This could include data collection prior, during and after retrofit measures have been installed in the dwellings and Wolverhampton Council.
The supplier will be required to provide the following service:
Domestic Energy Monitoring
• Liaise with residents in collaboration with Project team and the community steering group to monitor Domestic energy usage across the neighbourhood.
• Monitor energy consumption across gas and electricity in a minimum of 80 homes or more
o Install up to 50 domestic energy sensors where smart meter data isn't available
o Be able to access smart meter data subject to availability and customer consents
• Support the project's community engagement activities by providing information to residents to raise awareness of the sensors
• Record energy usage from gas and electricity consumption over a minimum 12-month period, using historical smart meter data where applicable
• Monitor, log, verify and securely store the data in an accessible and downloadable format for the duration of the project, providing accessibility to the data to project partners (e.g. data dashboard or through open API)
• Provide a dashboard / app to enable the residents to access and view the data being gathered in their dwelling, either through sensors or through smart meter data with appropriate training and support provided where necessary.
• Monitor and maintain the data collection equipment for the duration of the project and replace any failed sensors.
• Provide customer support throughout the project and ensure appropriate complaints and escalation procedures are in place
• The equipment must be unintrusive to the resident. (e.g. be self-supporting in energy where possible, wireless and have independent internet capabilities).
• Remove and decommission the monitoring equipment at the end of the project.
• Liaise with project staff and residents to minimise disruption to the resident. Where possible coordinate installation schedules with other project staff (e.g. retrofit assessor, resident engagement officer).
Outdoor Air Quality
• Install up to 12 outdoor Air Quality sensors across the neighbourhood to cover a sufficient sample area
• Monitor outdoor air pollution levels (e.g. NOx, PM10, PM 2.5, CO2, and others)
• Enable visualisation on a dashboard for access by the Council and Key Project Partners,
• Enable access to data through downloadable worksheets or open API
• Manage maintain and replace faulty units where applicable
• Decommission sensors at the end of the project
