Description
Tewkesbury Borough Council is a rural district authority based in the northern end of Gloucestershire and currently looks after two cemeteries in Bishops Cleeve and Tewkesbury.
These cemeteries are open to the public at all times and serve a wide community locally and from afar.
As part of the service to the community Tewkesbury Borough Council offers a grave digging service. This service is offered to anyone who wants to bury or inter ashes at our two sites (normally through undertakers). Note the sites are mainly laid out for burials and this is our biggest part of the works.
The works consists of the mechanical and manual excavation of graves, interring of ashes preparation of the grave side and backfilling.
