Description
The Electoral Commission is seeking to refurbish its main office, located on the edge of the City of London. Approximately 140 of our staff 'hot desk' out of this office, which is on the seventh floor of a shared occupancy building and covers 11,976 ft².
The aim of the project is to provide a modern and flexible working environment. The refurbishment will include changes to the layout of the office, acoustic engineering consultancy and work to reduce sound transmission, furniture, fixtures and fittings, cabling and electrical work, and interior decorating.
The floor plan and concept design for this project has already been produced. To achieve our vision, we need a contractor to take these designs - and our Employer's Requirements - and use them to transform our workspace. This work will include the production of a detailed technical design. We also require the services of a supplier-side project manager, to plan and coordinate this work and liaise with the Commission's project team.
The budget for this project is between £300k and £400k net and we will looking to clarify the costs, timescales and dependencies with contractors. Contractors will need significant experience of successfully designing and delivering similar sized office refurbishment projects in central London, preferably within the public sector.
This work must be completed by the end of March 2021, as we are not able to carry over our budget into 2021/22.
