Description

WHC - Local Plan Programme Officer

Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council is in the process of preparing a new local plan covering the period up to 2032. The emerging Plan has been the subject of several rounds of consultation and the 'Draft Local Plan Proposed Submission' document is the Regulation 19 version which was published for 8 weeks public consultation running from 30th August to 24th October.

It is intended that the Local Plan will be submitted to the Planning Inspectorate before the end of April 2017. Assuming this is the case, it is anticipated that the Plan would then be the subject of an independent Examination commencing in July 2017.

To facilitate the Examination process, which starts as soon as the Plan is submitted, the Council wishes to appoint an experienced, independent Programme Officer to administer the process and act as a key point of contact between the appointed Inspector, Council Officers and interested parties who wish to appear at the Examination.
