Description

The Council is seeking tenders for professional services to investigate the feasibility of a potential solar PV site in a rural parish close to Helston, Cornwall. It is the intention to fund the work through a Phase 1 grant from the Rural Community Energy Fund, an application for which is now under preparation for submission by 31 January 2022.

Further details are provided in the attached Invitation To Tender for professional services in relation to an RCEF Phase 1 feasibility study into a potential solar PV site.

Completed tender documents (paper copy and memory stick) in a sealed envelope marked 'Rural Community Energy Fund tender' are required by 17.00 on Wednesday 19th January 2022 addressed to The Town Clerk, Helston Town Council, The Guildhall, Helston. TR13 8ST

A grid offer from the local District Network Operator (DNO), Western Power Distribution has already been obtained and the landowner has signed an Exclusivity Licence. Full details for the site will be provided to the successful bidder.

The Council is seeking separate tenders for similar services in relation to a second site in a different location nearby and in the event that one bidder is successful with both, there is an expectation that a saving on the total price would be offered.
