Description

Winchester City Council is inviting tenders for Guildhall Fire Safety Improvements. Following the recommendations of the Fire Risk Assessor stated within the buildings Fire Risk Assessment (FRA), it is necessary to conduct passive fire protection works i.e. to improve the buildings compartmentation, replace defective and non-compliant doors with new FD30s fire doors in addition to electrical remedial works such as improving the existing emergency lighting design and system together with other associated works. All works are to be carried out by a competent and certified contractor. Winchester Guildhall is an historic grade 2 listed building within a conservation area and will be in use for the duration of the works. The above works are to be undertaken at Guildhall, Winchester, SO23 9GH and are anticipated to commence in August. The full timetable for this procurement is contained within the ITT.

The works are to be procured and administered under the JCT Intermediate Building Contract 2016.
