Description

Cheshire East Council has recently procured 132 new pay and display parking machines. The machines that will be installed will be Metric Elite LS mains powered machines, which will be situated across a minimum of 63 car parks across the borough and are fitted with card readers/contactless payment and VRM (Vehicle Registration Mark) facilities. Some of the car parks are heavily utilised, resulting in 18 machines for double or triple issue and a further 18 requiring additional ticket capacity; 8 of these machines also require both double issue and extra ticket capacity.

As a result of this new contract, the Council is inviting quotations from suppliers of tickets for these new machines. This will be a 2 year contract with the option to extend for a further 2 x 12 months.

The council requires the supplier to revise its prices so as to continually maintain best value for the council and its residents and service users and remain competitive throughout the duration of the contract. The contract will be monitored closely as the volume of tickets required may go up if we stop our current 'pay by phone' cashless parking provision, which will mean more credit/debit card payment receipts where required. The volume of tickets required may go down thereafter if the council procures a new pay by phone service in the future during the duration of this contract.
