Description

Works at Whixall Moss, to remove up to 11,000m3 rough "turf" from 6 peaty fields (3.1 ha) and its transportation and spreading to cover 1.937ha ha of stoned hardstanding and SAC concrete at the Scrapyard and Bungalow Hardstanding, and the creation of water tight bunds in the turfed fields to raise water levels with the diversion of water supply into and out of the bunded cells, on Fenn's, Whixall & Bettisfield Mosses raised bog National Nature Reserve, Shropshire plus track creation and ancillary works. "Turf" removal and bunding of Wakeling's Field by mid-October 2019, rest progressively by mid-November at the latest.
