Description

Druids Heath is a purpose-built municipal housing estate that is located approximately six miles south of the city centre and lies on the periphery of Birmingham and Bromsgrove local authority boundaries. It is within the Druids Heath and Monyhull Ward and borders green belt land which is within the local authority of Bromsgrove District Council.

Birmingham City Council (the Council) wishes to appoint an organisation experienced in the engagement and empowerment of residents in major regeneration schemes to build on and effectively support and engage residents on the Druids Heath Estate.

The regeneration of the estate, as an exemplar sustainable development, will need to deliver significant benefits for the local community and the wider Birmingham economy.
The approach to the regeneration of the estate will need to be bespoke for the Druids Heath residents and community while also connecting with communities beyond the red line boundary within the local vicinity if necessary.

The priority is to create a vision and objectives that will ensure the development of good quality well designed, sustainable, efficient, affordable and well managed housing, open spaces with a high community value, the realisation of community regeneration ambitions for social, economic, educational, health and environmental issues in the Druids Heath Estate Regeneration area.

We require an organisation to coordinate and work with residents, to support the Council and its architects and employer's agent in the development of a masterplan, full business case, planning application and procurement of a development partner.
