Description

NOTE: This notice was updated on 27 June 2017 for the following reason: After careful consideration Essex Fire and Rescue have decided to terminate this tender exercise in favour of running a framework agreement. Details of the framework are not yet available but the tender will be published with the full detail in due course.Essex Fire Authority has carried out a review of its bulk foam stock and wishes to move from 3%/6% induction rate foam concentrate to 1%/1% or 1%/3%. The Authority anticipates a reduction in weight and storage requirements which will bring operational benefits including the opportunity to reduce the environmental impact plus the added benefit of cost reduction when cost is calculated on the basis of finished foam product. To this end the Fire Authority is inviting tenders for the supply of 1%/1% or 1%/3% foam concentrate, to be supplied in 1000 litre bulk containers.
The contract shall be for an initial period of 1 year with an option to extend for a further two 1 year periods (1+1+1).

An initial single delivery quantity of 6 x 1000 litres will be required. Further deliveries may be required on an ad-hoc basis in minimum deliveries of 1 x 1000 litres.
