Description
Since 2014, Herefordshire Council has developed and delivered an intensive therapeutic support service for some of the most challenging children and young people in care or at risk of coming into care, in the county. This consists of 2 services;
i) Herefordshire Intensive Placement Support Service (HIPSS);
ii) Therapeutic Intervention Support Service (TISS).
As the contract with the commissioned provider ends in March 2018, the Council is intending to go out to tender the HIPSS and TISS services separately in the autumn of 2017. Please note there is no intension to commission a provider to undertake responsibility for recruiting, assessing and supervising foster carers.
As part of a soft market testing exercise the council is seeking responses to the following questionnaire from organisations with a track record in delivering intensive support services for looked after children who would be interested in delivering either one or both of these services.
