Description

WP12.5 Architectural Metalwork

Scope of work:
OOC HS2 Station Architectural Metalwork Package (WP12.5) consists of the design for construction and manufacture, supply, installation and assurance of architectural metalwork to the front of house HS2 Station areas, the Great Western Main Line/ Conventional Station (GWML) and Shared Accommodation Building (SAB). The scope of this package includes the following key elements:
• Steel and glazed balustrades, with integrated lighting.
• Timber handrails, with integrated lighting.
• Platform barriers.
• Lighting columns and armatures.

Key deliverables will be:
• Design Development: Prepare the design for construction and manufacture of architectural metalwork, including detailed plans, elevations, general arrangements, and fabrication drawings. These drawings should encompass all necessary interface and connection details, structural elements and ancillary elements to meet the prescribed performance requirements.
• Samples and Prototypes: Provide samples, prototypes, visual mock-ups, and benchmarks as deemed necessary to ensure compliance with design and quality standards.
• Material Supply and Installation: Supply all required materials, labour, supervision, plant, and equipment for the installation of architectural metalwork in accordance with the approved design.
• Assurance and Certification: Generate and supply comprehensive assurance documentation for architectural metalwork installations, including testing as required.
• Coordination: Ensure coordination of architectural metalwork installations with various substrates, and other finishes to achieve integration within the overall project.

By executing the works diligently and adhering to the prescribed specifications, our aim is to deliver a high-quality architectural metalwork package that meets the requirements and contributes to the success of the Old Oak Common HS2 Station project.
