Description
The project aims to alleviate surface water flooding in the village of Goose Eye. The most recent flooding was in February 2020 and prior to that extensive flooding occurred in December 2015.
The scheme will protect 32 properties located within the centre of the village.
In brief, the works involve laying a DN500 flood relief pipe down Lund Lane and diverting the watercourse further downstream, across the Turkey Inn car park, and creating a new outfall to Dean Beck.
Full details of the scheme are set out within the ECSC contract document and associated drawings.
