Description

Brighton & Hove City Council has a direct contract with the ESFA for adult education. This tender exercise is to seek a single provider as a sub-contractor that will complement other available provision by developing the skills of residents (aged 19 and over) with low skill levels, and provide progression routes to further learning, employment or volunteering.

The Council is seeking a provider to deliver a range of accredited adult education courses in the priority curriculum areas of Employability and ICT Digital Skills as the Covid- 19 pandemic has escalated the need for these skills.

The Council is seeking tenders from bidders who:

o have experience of delivering accredited ESFA funded adult education provision;
o understand the demographic area of Brighton and Hove and needs of the priority groups;
o have access to physical premises within Brighton and Hove to enable classroom delivery;
o have a track record in delivering through classroom/online/blended learning;
o will deliver approved regulated funded qualifications listed by the ESFA under the Adult Education Budget (AEB);
o will design and cost appropriate accredited learning programs up to Level 2.

The successful provider will be required to commence delivery from 9th November 2020 (or as close as possible to this date) and will complete delivery by 31 July 2021. The provider will be expected to market the provision in order to attract, retain and progress learners as well as adapt delivery to cope with further disruption resulting from COVID 19. The successful provider will offer appropriate support and meaningful contact time at a pace that meets the learner needs. Their delivery of the service will be required to make a positive impact on learner progression and provide essential skills for the local labour market
