Description

The Home Office is seeking to externally commission a fast-paced piece of research that will help in understanding fire evacuation policies in apartment blocks. The fire and rescue analysis programme is looking to appoint a supplier (or suppliers) to undertake this research.
The review will seek to assess the evidence on the most effective methods of evacuating apartment blocks. However, based on scoping conducted by the Home Office it is understood that there is likely to be limited evidence on effectiveness per se, the review should also consider how occupants and firefighters behave and make decisions about evacuation in fires.

To access this opportunity suppliers will need to be registered on the Crown Commercial Service: Research Marketplace Dynamic Purchasing System RM6018.
