Description

Public Health England (PHE) is planning to purchase imaging systems suitable for work in category 3 laboratories. Due to the nature of the work, the equipment must be able to fulfil the following requirements:
- Be easily portable.
- Be fully-integrated, and not require connected PC for image acquisition.
- Must fit inside a microbiological safety cabinet and be suitable to work in the sterile environment
- Must be capable of brightfield and phase contrast imaging.
- Must have 4x, 10x, 20x objectives.
- Must have the ability to image without oculars (eyepieces).
- Must have a 3MP (minimum) sensitive colour image capture system
- Must be able to export images as PNG, JPEG, BMP, or TIFF formats via a USB port.
- Must have a mechanical stage with X-Y axis controls.
