Description
Carmel College is a Catholic 6th Form College that welcomes students of all faiths and backgrounds. It is committed to developing a community of mutual respect where personal qualities are highly valued and each student has the opportunity to reach their absolute potential.
Over the years, Carmel College has gone from strength to strength and has gained a national reputation for quality. It has achieved outstanding academic results for many years and continues to provide excellence in teaching and learning in order to maintain these high standards. As well as being the best performing college in Merseyside and Cheshire, the college is also rated in the top 10 % of schools and colleges nationally.
In recent years over 23 000 000 GBP of investment has transformed Carmel's campus into a truly inspiring place of learning providing technology rich facilities for generations to come.
The successful Supplier will be required to provide catering services at Carmel College (the Client).
The Client is looking for a Supplier who will be their partner within a vibrant competitive market. The catering service is currently outsourced to a catering contractor.
Any Supplier wishing to be considered for this contract must be able to demonstrate experience and depth of knowledge in the management and handling of TUPE issues.
The contract will commence on 13.7.2018 for a period of 3 years, with an option to extend on a 1 + 1 basis. The value of the contract is 1 360 000 GBP.
This contract as a minimum will be nil cost in nature with the successful Supplier developing the team and market to move forward. Investment is not actively sought, but may be required to enhance and further the service, should the bid require it.
We are seeking a suitably experienced Supplier who has current experience of working within the college and secondary school market place, ideally with a strong operational base within the North of England, thus allowing for responsive, contract support and management of catering staff. The service has in the last 12 months encountered stiff competition from a fast food development close by and the Supplier will need to provide a service that competes and exceeds the offers from elsewhere.
The successful Supplier will be required to formally report each month on catering standard performance and operational matters, ensuring the senior management team at the college is fully informed about all issues related to delivery of the catering service.
