Description

Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified organisation to maintain Tyntec Emergency Equipment installed in Sheltered Housing Scheme owned by the Council.

This includes Sheltered Housing Scheme, which are fitted with Tyntec Units for use in an emergency. This consists of Tyntec unit, a pendant you can wear and pull-cords in every room. The system operates via a telephone landline. Pulling a cord or pressing a button on the unit or pendant automatically connects with a Scheme Manager or The Council's Control Centre, which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Council then can contact the best people placed to help whether this is a carer, a doctor or the emergency services. There are approximately 1800 Tyntec Emergency Units in place.

The contract will be for a three year period, with a possible two one year extensions.
