Description

Thanet District Council is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced provider to carry out Hydrodynamic Maintenance Dredging works at the Port of Ramsgate. The Port of Ramsgate consist of a commercial port with 3 roll-on roll-off, ferry berths and an historic harbour and leisure marina. The total area of enclosed waters is approximately 40 hectares. Regular maintenance dredging is required to maintain vessel turning circle, berthing and safe navigation depths. The contract is a term contract for a period of 36 months with an anticipated commencement date of 14th September 2015. There is a single option to extend the contract by a maximum of 24 months at the discretion of the contracting authority. The term contract will be administered via individual dredging campaigns described by a works schedule on each occasion. The number and size of the dredging campaigns shall be at the Council's discretion. IMPORTANT INFORMATION Suppliers wishing to express interest must register on the Portal in the first instance. After which, you are requested to express your interest and download the procurement documentation attached to this notice. The Form of Contract shall be the Form of Contract for Dredging and Reclamation Works*, incorporating the Agreement, General Conditions, Rules for Adjudication and Notes for Guidance prepared by the Federation Internationale des Ingenieurs-Counseils (FIDIC) first edition 2006.
