Description

The SIMs providing mobile data for the Council's tablet devices are currently provided via the wider telephony service contract. The number of tablet connections is circa 900, with the number being reduced in recent weeks following a period of sustained activity to terminate connections that were not being used (no data consumed for a number of months).

Mobile data in tablet devices is a key element the Council's mobile working strategy and it is anticipated that this requirement will be the short to medium term.
