Description

In 2013 NHS England published a letter advising of deadlines for assessments of eligibility for NHS Continuing Healthcare for previously unassessed periods of care (PUPoC) which occurred during the period 1 April 2004 -31 March 2012.

Since that letter was produced NEW Devon Clinical Commissioning Group ("The CCG") has been processing outstanding cases. During 2015 NHS England advised that there is an expectation that all cases up to and including the March 2012 cut off period would need to be processed by September 2016.

NEW Devon CCG is currently subject to approximately 250 claims currently being processed through a small expert internal team awaiting review and consideration. The CCG seeks proposals to process the remainder of its cases by an appropriately experienced external supplier to meet the agreed NHS England trajectories.
