Description
Chelsea & Westminster NHS Foundation Trust, on behalf of the North West London and Kingston Collaborative Group would like to invite suppliers to participate in a tender process for the provision of a Bulk Fluids end-to-end Managed Service.
Acute and Mental Health Trusts within North West London (NWL), in conjunction with Kingston Hospital NHS Trust, have formed a collaboration to identify potential opportunities to optimise the efficiency and value of medicines supply processes across the group.
An Options Appraisal has been carried out to evaluate the options to improve service levels and increase medicines optimisation activities. The supply and handling of Bulk Fluids was identified as a key review area and as such the project has recommended an accelerated initiative to define a collaborative approach for the group. The service will release storage space, reduce handling and deliver further efficiencies.
The NWL and Kingston group consists of 7 Acute, and 2 Mental Health NHS Trusts. The group have an overall medicine spend of £433million and an inventory of £17million (figures represent 2017/18).
