Description

Lot 1: Major Incident Response Logistics & Storage

We require a 24/7, 365 logistics service covering all of England to move, track, repatriate and store equipment before, during and after flooding. This logistics service should have the capability to deliver Environment Agency owned temporary flood barriers, pumps and ancillary equipment to locations anywhere in England operating on a 24 to 72 hour notice period to deliver equipment to site within 8 hours of confirmation.

Lot 2: Non-Major Incident Response Haulage

We also require a low loader and plant transport service to meet our operational and non-major incident response needs. The Environment Agency undertakes maintenance activities on watercourses. To carry out these activities, our owned plant and equipment - such as excavators, dumpers and cranes; pumps, compressors and generators - is often transported from our depots to close to the worksite. These low loader and transport services will be required when our plant and equipment exceed the carrying capacity of our own transport or where our transport is otherwise engaged
