Description
Quotes are being invited for Provision for a City Wide Therapeutic Service for Children Affected by Domestic Abuse. This commission shall run from 8 November 2018 for a 24 month period with a break clause review after 12 months.
Following a successful pilot in developing a new approach to responding to Domestic Abuse through a whole family / whole system approach the Council is looking to further commission this work. The aim of this work is to implement work with children, victims and perpetrators in order to break cycles of abuse and prevent escalation of risks.
Research shows that children living with or who have experienced domestic abuse are more likely to experience poor outcomes, and early therapeutic interventions are key to supporting children and families to improve safety and wellbeing.
This commission shall run from 8 November 2018 for a 24 month period with a break clause review after 12 months (at 7 November 2019).
The successful provider will deliver flexible therapeutic interventions that can respond to needs identified by Domestic Abuse key workers in the local authority. Interventions will form part of a package of care to individual families.
