Description

UKBIC is part of the UK government's Faraday Battery Challenge.On the 29th November 2017,it was
announced the consortium of Coventry City Council, Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise
Partnership, and WMG, at the University of Warwick,had been awarded £80 million,through a competition led by
the Advanced Propulsion Centre and supported by Innovate UK,to establish a new national facility.

Opening in 2020,the UKBIC delivers on the UK's Industrial Strategy's 'Future of Mobility' Grand Challenge. It fills a strategic
gap in the UK - facilitating scale up to high volume processes for battery materials,cells,modules and packs 2 / 4
primarily for the automotive sector but with wider application. The planned cell production lines will be used to
develop and prove materials, cell designs, manufacturing processes and parameters 'at rate' prior to full plant

This tender is specifically for CAT B fit-out of a pre-constructed shell and core office & warehouse facility. To include office fit-out and services installation within battery process facility. Contractor will also be required to facilitate installation of specialist process equipment which will be procured separately by the client - full details of items, delivery dates, services required, etc. will be contained within tender package.
