Description

This project will commission a three-year programme of training needs analysis that will inform Historic England's current and future training offer. It will comprise of the development of a methodology for training needs analysis (TNA) with the target audience and the roll-out of that TNA for three consecutive years in order to build comparative data. It will address a corporate plan requirement to use training to build skills and resilience in the heritage sector. To achieve this the commissioned training needs analysis exercise will identify where in the heritage sector knowledge, skills or confidence is low, identify what are the barriers to the application of best practice and ultimately identifying where those gaps could be addressed by training. The results of the TNA will be published by Historic England to help heritage organisations understand their own skills gaps and training needs
