Description

District Environmental Health Officer/Food Safety Officer

Sandwell MBC are currently looking for a District Environmental Health Officer/Food Safety Officer

Duration of Placement: 12 weeks from start of placement, but may be extended for a further 12 weeks
Pay rate: - £14.76 PAYE to the candidate (if your candidate is Limited or requires a higher pay rate, please mention this when you submit their CV)
Location: Court House, 335 - 337 High Street, West Bromwich, B70 8LU
Hours: 37 hours

We are looking for a suitably qualified and competent Environmental Health Officer or Food Safety Officer registered with the Environmental Health Registration Board to join our Business Regulation Team on a temporary basis for three months. Part-time hours may be considered.

You will be expected to offer business advice; complete food hygiene inspection reports and update the Civica APP database. The ability to work as an enforcement officer is essential as is a detailed understanding of relevant legislation.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills who is enthusiastic, committed and enjoys working as part of a team as well as being able to work on their own initiative. The successful person should be able to work well under pressure and show good organisational skills as well as a commitment to the principles of customer focussed quality public services.
