Description
Leicestershire County Council (the Council) recently insourced the operation of 2 waste transfer stations andintends to procure a contract for bulk haulage of waste from these to designated disposal/treatment/recyclingsites. In addition it would be expected that the bulk haulage of waste from additional waste transfer stations may be required during the contract term and such bulk haulage would also fall under this contract. There isno requirement to arrange for the disposal/treatment/recycling of such waste but destinations and tonnageswill vary during the contract term dependent on the needs of the Council. The likely commencement date is 01.04.2019 with a minimum duration of 3 years but with a potential to extend to a maximum contract term of 11 years.
The Council may require guarantees, deposits, bonds or other forms of appropriate security.
Please note that the provisions of TUPE may apply as part of this procurement.
