Description

As part of a research project funded by the BBSRC, a unique liquid-phase separation system is required to analyse and detect molecular species formed during the aggregation of the peptide amyloid beta 1-42. The AF4 system together with UV/Vis and RI detector must be capable of separating and quantifying species with a wide range of molecular weights, as well as being able to do this at low concentrations and with the minimum disruption to the concentration of the injected sample to maintain a similar distribution of aggregates during the analysis. To enable this, the system must be able to be connected to an exisiting MALS detector, namely a Wyatt Dawn DSP (1998 model).
