Description
Targeted interventions is the primary delivery mechanism of Prevent Objective 3 of HMG's Contest Strategy (2018). It is designed to support individuals already engaged in terrorism to disengage, rehabilitate and reintegrate. This includes British families returning from Syria or other war-affected countries.
The services deliver in 2 core areas:
- mentoring - managed, one-on-one interventions the aim of which is to build rapport with an individual, provide pastoral care, support to develop protective factors and challenge extremist mindset using credible alternative narratives and other methodologies. Suppliers may draw on certain specialist additional support depending on the individual.
- family/minor support - managed interventions with minors and their families returning from Syria or other war-affected countries to understand and provide both social (family needs, improved trust and relationships) and clinical support where required.
All services will be delivered to clear specifications, principles and processes; ensuring a consistent approach with a detailed reporting structure.
Prospective suppliers are invited to express an interest in the provision of services by e-mailing the project at the address given to find out more information and share further details of their organisation including what it could offer in respect of the services.
Organisations that express an interest will be invited to an Industry Day at 3pm on 28th January 2018 in
