Description

This research is being commissioned to provide Historic England with a clearer understanding of the impacts of the funding we provide through our grant programme for repairs to Heritage at Risk.

We wish to commission consultants to undertake research into the conservation and public benefits of 251 of the projects funded through this programme in recent years.

The overall purpose of the evaluation is to provide a greater understanding of the value-for-money of our investments. As such, the evaluation should be approached as a cost-benefit analysis, with a method broadly in accordance with the HM Treasury Green Book guidance. The evaluation should also review the process issues in the awarding and monitoring of grants.
