Description

Introduction
Sheffield City Council (the Council) has the requirement for the provision of a highly professional Toxicology, Microbiology, Virology, Immunology and associated Laboratory Testing Service. The service provider will be required to analyse tissue and body fluids obtained during autopsy examination for the detection of substances, and assist the Coroner to investigate sudden unexpected deaths within their area of remit, in accordance with the Coroners and Justice Act 2009. The provision will be required in a number of Lots (as below);

Lot 1 - Toxicology
Lot 2 - Microbiology and Virology
Lot 3 - Lung Mineral Fibre (asbestos) Assay
Lot 4 - Genetics (DNA Extraction and Storage)
Lot 5 - Immunology
