Description

GMCVO is looking to contract with a partnership of organisations who will run a 12 month campaign using a range of media that enables people over 50 to tell us how they are working to reduce social isolation and the changes they are making to the places they live in.

We expect the partnership to produce and distribute material which is created with and for people over 50 and directed by them. The partnership will have a lead provider with one or more partners sub-contracting to that provider.

We want the partnership to comprise of organisations with production skills and distribution mechanisms, but who also has links and reach into communities at risk of social isolation.

We would expect providers to work with people from marginalised communities who may have had fewer opportunities to take part in such work.

The partnership will distribute material as widely as possible across Greater Manchester and use multiple channels of delivery, for example podcasts, newsletters, booklets, video blogs etc. We want content to go out throughout the year and we would want bidders to demonstrate in their proposal how they would achieve this. Ambition for Ageing will have the ability to host content on our website if required.

Inclusivity and accessibility are important principles informing the delivery of all aspects of the Ambition for Ageing programme. The partnership needs to consider the intersectional reality of people's lives in order to combat the social isolation of marginalised older people.

The work must be delivered across the 8 Local Authority districts which are covered by Ambition for Ageing - Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Tameside and Wigan (not Trafford or Stockport).
