Description

North Yorkshire County Council with the CCG's currently commission services across North Yorkshire to provide \"sitting services\" for carers of adults in order to contribute to their wellbeing and help continue with their caring role. The service is for carers in order to give them a break from caring on a regular basis. This has been offered by allowing the carers to go out by providing a \"sitter\" for their cared for person or for the \"cared for\" person to be taken out.
The current contracts end on the 31st March 2018 and the proposal is to procure a new Carers Sitting Service through an open tendering process and have the service in place to start on the 1st April 2018. The new contract is for 3 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years.
