Description

Haybrook College is situated within a busy network of residential streets, including Littlebrook Road and Burnham Lane, which provides the main access for the existing college. The site is located within a homogeneous area consisting of terraces and semi detached houses, 2 storeys in height.

The site immediately adjoins the rear boundaries of residential properties of Littlebrook Avenue to the south and east, Burnham Lane and Haymill Road to the west and Blumfield Crescent to the north. The site is surrounded on all sides by neighbouring properties, creating an island of access that can only be accessed via Burnham Lane. The existing site entrance is located between nos. 119 and 121 Burnham Lane.

Haybrook College is committed to supporting the education and personal development of young people with complex social and emotional needs in Slough and surrounding areas. The College comprises a small special school called Millside School, a Pupil Referral Unit, which offers five unique programmes at KS4, as well as a range of 'revolving door' provisions at KS3 that have proven to be highly successful in supporting young people to maintain their place at or return to mainstream schools.

DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED WORKS

Construction of a new standalone Education Block providing 10nr Class spaces (including specialist teaching spaces), Performing Arts space, Dining Hall, Conference Suite and anciilary accommodation in conjunction with Internal alterations.

Extension of the existing Millside accommodation to provide a further 4nr Class spaces and extensive external Works.
