Description

As part of the European Structural and Investment funding programme and the Liverpool City programme of city greening, The Mersey Forest has been awarded funding as part of a whole place low carbon project to plant 30 trees along Stafford Street in Liverpool's Fabric District.
This project is part of The Mersey Forest in Liverpool - www.merseyforest.org.uk
These trees will help to lock up carbon and reduce the impacts of hotter days on the use of air conditioning; the trees will also provide some shelter to the businesses in colder time of the year and reduce the risk of flood by reducing rainwater runoff.
