Description

The Purchaser is inviting tenders on the terms set out in this ITT for the School of Law; to covert the Frankland Colloquium Room within the Faraday complex into a mock court room. The room will provide a tiered layout with good sightlines which are existing. The room has recently been refurbished (2009) and would therefore allow for the majority of the audience seating to be retained, and additional court room layout to be installed at the front of the room. There is suitable space outside the room to provide seating for witnesses waiting to give evidence. There is currently no wheelchair access to the colloquium rooms, and therefore this project incorporates the installation of a platform lift, and disable refuge point with an access corridor to the grassed courtyard.
The location of the site is Bailrigg Campus, Lancaster, LA1 4YW.
This tender is not lotted. The successful tenderer/contractor awarded such a contract must be fully available to mobilise so as to commence work on site for both Sections on 25th August 2017 and complete Section 1 by 3rd October 2017 (Mock Court Room) & Section 2 by 27th October 2017 (Lift Extension).
The University will host an accompanied site
visit 24.07.17 commencing 10a.m.
